Oh Jesus!

I am almost at the end of a book called 'The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus Christ' (Levi).
Just to get things clear, I am a complete anti-religion kind of person. All my natural life I have avoided churches, christenings, Sunday School you name it. Deep down I have always felt that all current religions are manufactured teachings, scrutinized, chopped and shaped over time to scare people into being good.
So, this past year I have been on the old spiritual journey which has brought me to this book. It claims to be the original and true account of the life of Jesus. The Jesus who left his home as a teenager and traveled around India, Egypt, and Greece to name a few places to learn and teach about God.
For all I have learned in the way of the laws of the universe, metaphysics and the like, I find it completely compelling how in the book Jesus teaches that we are all made of atoms and molecules and that the thought is the most powerful form of energy. He explains at various points that God requires no churches in his honour and that priests should not wear attire in trying to appear more holy. He tells us that 'religion' is not an outward, physical practice and that only by looking within and living a pure life can you align yourself with a higher power.

As for the title of the book, it seems that when Jesus was around it was the age of Pisces. At the beginning of every new age the Christ will appear in physical form. The next age (which is apparently almost upon us) is the age of Aquarius. The next age from what I understand is the coming of heaven on earth. God only knows how he is planning that one, but surely it must involve the removal of Tony Blair and George Bush.
